Remolacha forrajera Beta vulgaris sembrada en microtúneles y su efecto en parámetros productivos del cuy

Resumen

La remolacha forrajera es un alimento potencial en la nutrición animal. El objetivo fue valorar el efecto de la remolacha, sembrada bajo microtunel, sobre los parámetros productivos del cuy. Se evaluaron los parámetros ancho y largo de hoja, altura de la planta y peso de raíz en tres sistemas de cultivo: campo abierto, microtunel y microtunel con CO2. La remolacha producida se suministró a cuyes de engorde para determinar digestibilidad, consumo de alimento, ganancia de peso y conversión alimenticia. Se remplazó el forraje (Lolium sp) por remolacha forrajera en cantidades de 50 y 70% tanto para campo abierto como microtunel. Las diferencias se determinaron mediante análisis de varianza para ambos ensayos. No hubo diferencias significativas en largo y ancho de hoja. Se encontraron valores de 26,6 cm, 38,5 y 35,3 de altura para campo abierto y microtunel. Los parámetros productivos del cuy mejoraron con 50% de remolacha forrajera. Se concluye, que el sistema microtunel mejora el peso de raíz y la remolacha forrajera es adecuada para el cuy en reemplazo de un 30% de la ración.
