Síndrome de Body Stalk. Reporte de caso.

Resumen

Objetivo: Reportar un caso de síndrome de Body Stalk en una gestante con antecedente de consumo de sustancias psicoactivas y sífilis gestacional.

Descripción de caso: Presentamos un caso de síndrome de Body Stalk diagnosticado a las 10 semanas de edad gestacional. El embrión presentaba múltiples defectos característicos del síndrome, incluyendo defectos de la pared abdominal y de extremidades inferiores. El síndrome de Body Stalk es un defecto congénito poco frecuente con mal pronóstico.

Conclusiones: El síndrome de Body Stalk es un defecto congénito severo el cual es incompatible con la vida. El diagnóstico prenatal ultrasonográfico ayuda a definir la conducta obstétrica y disminuye el riesgo de morbilidad materna.
