Abstract

In the present work some ecological aspects were studied, and the establishment of the endophyte of the hemiparasite Phoradendron undulatum (Pohl) Eichler, commonly known as "matapalo", in one of the most frequent hosts of fruit trees such as Psidium guajava, of intervened zones located in the surroundings of the municipality of Popayan. The main contributions of this study are related to host frequency, distribution in the study area and some important aspects of seed dispersion, from germination to mature plant.
