Editorial: Social role of university education

Abstract

During first Alfonso López Pumarejo government (1934-1838), there was a major educational reform by the State tended towards meeting social goals of culture and towards strengthening intellectual, moral and physical skills of the teachers and professors. This reform means for the University of Cauca an institutional expansion that included the creation of its museums and presence of visiting professors.
