Fascitis necrosante fatal por Streptococcus pyogenes secundaria a trauma contuso menor: un reporte de caso
Resumen
Las infecciones necrosantes de tejidos blandos tienen una baja incidencia, sin embargo, pueden derivar en una mortalidad hasta del 43 %. El trauma contuso se ha descrito ya por varios autores como un factor de riesgo para el desarrollo de esta entidad principalmente asociada a infección por Streptococcus pyogenes (S. pyogenes). La presentación clínica de esta entidad es muy heterogénea y a pesar de que se han intentado validar diferentes escalas para establecer una probabilidad diagnóstica, estas no tienen el rendimiento suficiente. Por lo tanto, el diagnóstico depende en gran medida del abordaje de riesgos y la sospecha clínica inicial. A continuación, se presenta el caso de un paciente joven quien desarrolla una infección necrosante secundaria a trauma contuso con un desenlace fatal.
