Desempeño de bocachico prochilodus magdalenae en sistemas intensivos de producción con tecnología biofloc
Resumen
La Tecnología BioFloc (BFT) se caracteriza por altas densidades, bajo consumo de agua y espacios reducidos; sin embargo, son escasos los estudios adaptando esta tecnología a especies nativas como bocachico Prochilodus magdalenae. El estudio evaluó el desempeño zootécnico del cultivo con BFT a tres densidades en fase de pre-engorde: 5(T1), 10(T2) y 20(T3) peces/m3. En nueve tanques rectangulares de 6 m3 (3/tratamiento) se sembraron alevinos de 1,6±0,2 g y 5,0±0,5 cm de peso y longitud total respectivamente, se alimentaron con dieta comercial de 24% de proteína bruta y al sistema se le adicionó melaza y cal basados en la relación C:N. Oxígeno disuelto, pH y temperatura se midieron diariamente y semanalmente amonio, nitrito, nitrato, dureza, alcalinidad, sólidos sedimentables, sólidos totales suspendidos e índice volumétrico de lodos. La calidad del agua osciló en el rango adecuado para la especie y estabilidad del sistema, sin diferencia significativa entre tratamientos (p>0,05). La sobrevivencia osciló entre 78,9±3,8% (T1) y 83,8±0,6% (T3) (p>0,05); el mayor crecimiento se registró en T1 (74,3±16,0 g, 18,2±1,2 cm) y los menores crecimientos (31,9±1,2-45,9±3,4 g, 14,0±0,1-15,8±0,7 cm) se obtuvieron a las mayores densidades (T2, T3). En conclusión, el cultivo de bocachico en fase de pre-engorde es posible con BFT a densidades de por lo menos 5 peces/m3.Descargas
